Chinese Culture at the University of Regina’s 2020 International Night

~~On March 6th, there were around 2500 people gathered the gym to celebrate the multicultural of the University’s community.  UR International - Student Services, together with the International Students' Association and the Confucius Institute at the University of Regina hosted the event.
This year, featured activities included diverse cultural performances, “Student Idle”--a student talent competition, and a traditional costume fashion show. During the event, the Confucius Institute presented a Chinese folk dance, and Han-costume show which attracted a lot of attention and interest from the audience. The Han-costume even won the first place in the fashion show competition. Meantime, the Confucius Institute set up a cultural display themed as Chinesse Ethnic Group, with 56 dolls in diverse costume, the introduction both in literature and video version, which help the audience to better experience Chinese ethnic cultural elements. 
The goal of International Night is to show the diverse cultures at the University of Regina by extraordinary folk customs and characteristic cultural display from different countries. Chinese culture is one of the at  the University of Regina. The Confucius Institute played an important role in showcasing  the featured Chinese elements at International Night.
