The Confucius Institute at the University of Regina conducts a series of activities to celebrate “2016 CI-Day”

From September 3 to October 6, Confucius Institute at the University of Regina has conducted a series of activities, themed  “International education, global vision” , to celebrate the CI-day.On October 1, in the border city of Estevan, the  cultural art group of Confucius Institute at the University of Regina has offered a colorful performance for the local residence.  Silk sleeves dance, Erhu and zheng solo won audience's warm applause. In front of the cultural experience booth, Confucius Institute teachers invite the audience to experience the Chinese calligraphy and write Chinese name.

On October 6, The Confucius Institute at the University of Regina invited Professor Lili Liu from Nankai University in China to present a lecture about Chinese science fiction. This lecture focuses mainly on the “Hugo prize” awarded novel “Folding Beijing ". Professor Lili Liu introduced this novel’s author Jingfang Hao and the primary coverage, the artistic feature, the constitution mechanism and the esthetic value of the novel, and has launched thorough discussion on the science fiction literature with the audience.

In addition, the Confucius Institute also participated in the dragon boat race, hold Chinese language open class,  Tai Chi open class, which allow the local residence a intimate feeling to the charm of Chinese culture.
