February 8, 2016 was the date of Chinese Spring Festival. The Confucius Institute at the University of Regina held celebration activities in elementary schools. On February 1 and on February 3, through “dumplings making” in Messay School and Ruth Pawson School respectively, the Confucius Institute introduces Chinese Spring Festival and culture. On February 8, the Confucius Institute conducts activities in Montessori School, including lantern handcrafting, traditional Chinese “Qipao” dressing. On February 23, A lecture about Chinese culture in Spring Festival and Lantern Festival was presented in Luther High School. The students participated in these cultural activities with full enthusiasm.
